Dexter to Coach Hill Country Generals
Long-time youth coach and high school official
Robert Dexter of Tupelo will coach the
Hill Country Generals team in the inaugural season of the Mississippi Select Baseball High School Fall League.
Coach Dexter is a graduate of Southaven High School where he played baseball for the Chargers and also with Southaven American Legion Baseball. Additionally, Robert played football at Ole Miss for two years and has been a high school baseball umpire for 15 years. Coach Dexter has coached competitive baseball for more than a decade in North Mississippi, and his Chesterville Viper team won the USSSA State Championship in 2005. He is also a part of the on-air Tupelo Golden Wave radio broadcast team on WBVV FM99.3 in Tupelo.
Coach Dexter graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Accounting and also received an Organizational Management degree from Concordia University in Nebraska.
He is married to Zelda Dexter and they have two children: daughter Devin is a senior at Ole Miss and son Collin is a senior at Tupelo High School.
